Introducing Bi the Way

Welcome to the pilot episode of Bi the Way – a podcast about the B in LGBTQ+

My coming out took 24 years for many reasons. But, it definitely had something to do with how little I saw bisexuality reflected around me. So I decided to do something about it. That something is Bi the Way. It’s a chance to unpack my queerness in conversation with other bi and pan folks. I hope, by documenting these stories and conversations, someone else might find themselves a little sooner too.

In the first episode I interview my friend Richelle about the first time she saw her bi identity reflected on TV and what that experience meant for her.

Editor's note: Bi the Way uses Robyn Och's definition of bisexuality which says:

"I call myself bisexual because I acknowledge that I have in myself the potential to be attracted – romantically and/or sexually – to people of more than one sex and/or gender, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way, and not necessarily to the same degree."
