Above all else Sam loves a good story. As a kid she brought books to the dinner table and in the car. Now, she looks forward to her commute for the time it gives her to listen.
Sam is currently a student at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, focusing on audio. She’s also independently produced, written and edited various audio projects. For the last five years, she worked as a media relations specialist at C+C, a full-service communications agency with a focus on social good. Sam started at C+C in 2015 as an intern and worked her way up to Senior Account Executive. She’s led media campaigns for the U.S. Department of Energy, Google, the Holocaust Center for Humanity, and the James Beard Foundation to name a few. In 2017, she was named PRSA Puget Sound Young Professional of the Year.
Sam recently completed the Transom Traveling Workshop in Seattle (January, 2019) and was a student at UnionDocs' Podcast School in New York (July, 2018). She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington with a BA in Communication, Spanish Honors and a minor in Diversity Studies, where she was also an editor and reporter at The Daily.
She's interested in and available for tape syncs, freelance producing and editing.
